I used this practice after a poor experience elsewhere. I found Rachel to be extremely caring and gentle with my cat Tulip. Appointment wasn’t rushed and came away feeling reassured and listened to. Received a follow up phone call to see how Tulip was getting on. Dawn the receptionist is very welcoming and personable, over the phone and at the practice. No hesitation in recommending this practice

I can’t recommend Welland Valley Vets highly enough. They have given my much-loved Roo incredible care, support and expertise over the last few months, helping us through everything from his eyes, heart, teeth and ears to an unexpected grass seed and, most recently, the removal of a lump from his neck. There have been some worrying moments, but the whole team has always been calm, compassionate, professional and reassuring. I’ve particularly appreciated the way they explain everything clearly and give honest, straightforward advice without ever making you feel rushed or dismissed. A special thank you to Rachel, whose personal approach and genuine warmth make such a difference. She takes the time to get to know you and your pet, and those little conversations and personal touches make the practice feel truly special. I also want to mention Dawn, who is absolutely wonderful — kind, caring and always so lovely to deal with. Her warmth and kindness have meant a great deal. It’s clear that everyone at Welland Valley Vets genuinely cares about the animals in their care, and that means everything when you’re trusting them with a much-loved member of your family. If you’re looking for a veterinary practice where outstanding expertise goes hand in hand with kindness, compassion and genuine personal care, I wholeheartedly recommend Welland Valley Vets. Welcoming staff, the receptionist is always so friendly and you never feel your appointment is rushed. The vet has taken the time to get to know me and my dogs and I really trust their advice. So glad to have found this independent vets. Highly recommend

"I don’t usually leave reviews, but everyone here is so friendly and welcoming that I felt I should. It feels really personal and you’re always made to feel at ease. I also really like that you can see the same vet each time if you want, which makes such a difference. You never feel rushed and it’s clear they genuinely care. Would definitely recommend."

Rachel Caplan has been my vet and looked after both of my dogs, for several years. The continuity of a relationship with the professional who takes care of your most loved pets, is paramount to me. She is always so empathetic and kind with a pragmatic approach, which I greatly appreciate. Communication is always open and honest. I feel 100% confident in her judgement and now that my dogs are both in the later stages of their lives, this is so important to me. A well deserved 5 star review.
