I would give six stars if I could. I can't rate Church House Vets highly enough. Recommended.

My cat Muffin is 20 years old. He had 7 teeth out today.I was very appreciative because of his age. Alistair put my mind at rest, he was so experienced and is obviously dedicated to his work. Infact the nurse was so nice, professional and friendly. 11 out of 10. I can’t fault the practise. You wasnt disappointed.. Everything was explained in detail to me before and afterwards. Muffin is very comfortable tonight. So here’s to a good night sleep tonight for both of us .😊

I am being charged a vet consultation fee just to get my dog a flea tablet he has had from them multiple times because he hasn't been seen in 8 months. Its a flea tablet! Id understand if he was a puppy and might of grown or it was medication for kidneys, or heart palpitations ect, and may need to be seen to check how the treatment is working, side effects ect. Its a run of the mill, must knock them out by the bucket load flea tablet! He's 6 yrs old absolutely healthy in every way, he had about 15kg before he would need a higher dosage, he certainly hasnt doubled in size! I offered to take him to reception so they could double check his weight, cant do that. I just want to get him another tablet. Have been trying for over a week, multiple calls, not calling me back when they said they would, was told its vet practice it's the way it is. I said to the receptionist you haven't seen him for 8 months because there is nothing wrong with him, would you see a doctor if there was nothing wrong with you. Her response was 'some people do'. It is nothing more than trying to extort a consultancy fee from me. I will walk in and out of the vets office so they can charge me 30+ quid for the privilege.

If I could give this vet no stars for a review I would. We took our poor cat multiple times to this vet over her short life, in which they failed to identify increased kidney values. During our visits, no blood or urine tests were offered and our cats nausea and lack of appetite was written off as something else over the course of multiple trips. Eventually a blood and urine test was conducted to find our poor cat was stage 3 CKD 6 months down the line. The total lack of empathy from the vet at the time of diagnosis was shocking. All she had to say with a dead pan face was " We see it all the time". My partner was distraught. After raising a question about the diagnosis and why it had not been detected at an earlier point, the practice came out on the defensive, with a senior member of staff making out that our cat was older then what was on her records. Our cat although a rescue, was only 3-5 years old (verified by a reputable cat specialist in Cambridge) . The reason the early diagnosis was missed, was due to lack of experience/ training of younger staff members during those earlier visits. Our cat passed away from the condition some months later, after we did everything we could by moving her across to a new vet who had more knowledge, better communication skills and genuine empathy and understanding. We failed our dear cat by not having an understanding of the condition and its subtle signs.The worst part was leaving her in the hands of Church House Vets.

I took my Cat to church house as he wasn’t himself, church house did the best they could for him but unfortunately the results of the blood tests they carried out turned out to be wrong, they diagnosed him with low red and white blood cells when in fact he was only dehydrated as confirmed by a very expensive trip to Queen college vets in Cambridge. After lengthy emails between myself, church house and the vets mediation service I eventually got my money back for the church house visit. Note: this review is accurate and correct as per the outcome of the mediation service therefore I am not required to remove it

Registered my dog with Church House Vets last week and took him in for an appointment today and what a relief!… the team here are fantastic. Very kind, very fair and saw him at a moments notice. 10/10

Kind and caring for our sick Bodie who had a gastric infection and needed a day of care.
